Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you ask for a free homepage, we collect your name, phone number, email address, business name and a short description of what you do.

If you go ahead and fill in the full form, we also collect the details needed to build your site: business area/suburbs covered, services, pricing you want listed, your business bio, whether you offer emergency callouts or free quotes, your ABN and licence number if relevant to your trade, years in business, any reviews you want quoted, your domain name (if you have one), and any photos and logo you send us.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to count visits to this site. It sets two cookies, named _ga and _ga_*, and records the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. Google handles your IP address as part of this. We don't use advertising pixels, and we don't sell or share this data with anyone for advertising.

Our two forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is submitting them, which may process your IP address and browser signals; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

What we use it for

We use your details to build your free homepage and then your website, contact you about your project, and invoice you. We use the analytics data only to see how many people visit and which pages they read. We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers to run this site:

• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the photos you upload (in Cloudflare R2). Your finished website is hosted on a Cloudflare account in your own name, and we don't hold your site's data ourselves once it's live.
• Resend sends the emails, so your form submission reaches us and we can reply to you.
• Google Analytics counts visits, as described above.
• OpenRouter and Anthropic provide the AI we use to help write the design brief for your site. If you go ahead, we send them your business details and form answers (including your contact details, services, prices, ABN and licence number if you gave them), the file names of your photos, and up to six of your photos plus your logo as images. They use it only to help us prepare the design brief for your site. We don't send anything to them for any other purpose.

We don't sell your details, and we don't share them with anyone for advertising.

Analytics and cookies

The Google Analytics cookies are used only to count visits. You can opt out by turning off cookies in your browser settings, or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and project details for as long as needed to build and support your site, and for our own business records. If you'd like your details deleted and you're not an active client, just ask.

We keep your photos while we build and look after your site, so we can make updates for you. You can ask us to delete them at any time, and you can also remove your own uploads from the upload page. If an enquiry doesn't go ahead, we delete its photos automatically 30 days after we close the enquiry.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@simplewebsitesforbusiness.com.au and we'll sort it out.
