A website for painters: free homepage first, then $990 once
Painting looks easy, so customers worry about who they let in. They want straight lines, a clean house and a quote that matches the invoice. A good painter website shows all three. I build yours free first.
What painter customers look for before they ring
I have built websites for 20 years. For a painter, people check the same five things, usually on a phone, usually in a hurry.
- Is the finish good? Big, clear photos of finished rooms and exteriors. Painting is visual, so photos do most of the selling.
- What does a job look like before and after? Before and after shots. Peeling and stained on one side, crisp on the other.
- Do you do interior, exterior or both? A plain list, plus roofs, fences and ceilings if you do them.
- How do you prep? A short line on prep: washing, sanding, filling, masking. It tells people you are not a cowboy.
- Which paint do you use? Brands people recognise, like Dulux or Taubmans, if that is what you use. Say what you use and why.
What your painter website includes
Five pages: Home, About, Services, Projects and Contact. I write the words for your trade and use your photos. The $990 covers all of this.
- A gallery-style Projects page for before and after photos
- Services for interiors, exteriors, ceilings, fences and anything else you paint
- A short, honest line on how you prep and the paint brands you use
- A suburb list written for Google, so people searching for a painter near them find you
- Tap to call, tap to text and a quote form that goes to your inbox
Hosting is free, on your own Cloudflare account. I set up your domain in your name too. You only pay the registrar for the name itself, about $100 to $150 over five years.
A real example
What a website costs over five years
The sticker price is not the real price. Add up five years of fees.
| Agency | $3,000 to $10,000 from an agency |
|---|---|
| Rental website | $99 to $299 a month, forever |
| Facebook page only | Free, but you do not own it |
| Simple Websites for Business | $990 once, plus about $100 to $150 domain renewals |
A rental at $99 a month is $5,940 over five years. At $299 it is $17,940. Stop paying and the site goes. Mine stays, because it is yours.
My guarantee
I keep editing until you are happy with the site. Edits for the first 30 days after launch are free. After that, small edits are $60 each, or $290 a year for unlimited small edits. I reply within one business day.
